Bonnie Swan is a program evaluator and research associate at the University of Central Florida. Currently she is the lead evaluator for Florida Online Professional Development (FOR-PD). FOR-PD is the first large-scale online reading professional development project in the state of Florida and has served over 30,000 educators since 2003. Other recent projects she is involved with are funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and U.S. Enviornmental Protection Agency. She received her Ph.D. in Education and M.Ed. in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and her undergraduate work was in Business/Economics. Dr. Swan is an active writer with publications and frequently presents on topics related to evaluation, professional development and student achievement at both the state and national levels. She is a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), National Evaluation Institute (NEI), and the Southeast Evaluation Association, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Florida Educational Research Association (FERA).
