Evaluation Costs
Costs for evaluation are determined by the size and scope of the services needed to meet specific requirements of the project. Travel costs are expected to be provided by the sponsor of the project unless agreed upon prior to contract award. Indirect costs associated with contracts will be based on UCF’s current federal negotiated rate and varies depending on location of the project. Salaries and wages are based on actual faculty and staff salary rates at the time of the proposal. Fringe benefit rates also vary. Additional charges can include expenses such as copying, printing, transcription fees, data gathering materials and instruments.
As needed, specific amounts for expenses can be negotiated at the time of proposal development. The average cost for evaluation normally falls between 5%-10% of the total costs of the project. Cost of the evaluation will be determined based on the anticipated level of effort needed to conduct the evaluation and will be agreed upon by the project sponsor and approved by the UCF Office of Research and Commercialization as part of the finalized statement of work for services proposed.
